Hear from our panel of guest speakers who started their time in Spain as auxiliares and English teachers and have moved into a variety of fields. We’ll find out how they did it and what tips they can give to anyone looking to do the same.
Corey Chancellor – Born in Dallas, Texas, now living in Madrid for 12 years. His experiences led him to open SOHO ART MADRID – an entertainment art studio located in the historical Vistillas Garden in the center of Madrid. The studio hosts a variety of events, from art classes and exhibitions to team-building activities.
Gabriel Quiroga – Originally from the Bay Area, Gabriel has been living in Spain for over a decade, leading digital marketing projects for top companies like BMW/MINI and Zurich Insurance. He’s a seasoned podcaster (Spain is Different), world traveler, culinary explorer, and an avid Barca fan.
Isabella Skovira – After teaching high school in the U.S. through Teach For America, she moved to Spain to join the auxiliares program, later securing a full-time role at a Madrid-based educational startup. Isabella is a higher education consultant with global experience, offering client services, educational content, and ESL teaching.
Nicolas Titus – Nicolas works as a full-time teacher at a Concertado school here in Madrid.
