This letter is pivotal for your student visa application, outlining the duration and specifics of your study.

Who Needs a Visa to Study in Spain?

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens: If you’re from outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland, you will likely need a student visa to study in Spain for any period longer than 90 days.

EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens: Citizens from these areas do not need a visa to study in Spain. However, they must register with the local Spanish authorities if they plan to stay longer than three months.

How Long Do Visa Applications Take?

Visa processing times vary by consulate or embassy. It’s best to apply 2-3 months before your intended start date, as processing can range from 15 days to 2-3 months. We advise starting early to ensure your visa is ready for your studies.

Can I apply from Within Spain?

Thanks to recent legislation changes, you can now apply for your first-year visa from within Spain itself. This option is available within the first 60 days of your arrival in Spain.
